SITC follows the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme syllabus so whether youve just completed a Taster session, a RYA Stage 1 or RYA Stage 2 course you are on your way to becoming a confident small boat sailor.  

Where are you at?
Taster By the end of this session you will have experienced paddling and steering while working with a team mate to keep your boat balanced and you may have learnt a little about sail control.

Stage 1 By the end of this introductory course, you should have a basic understanding of how a boat sails, with some experience of steering and handling the boat while sailing.

Stage 2 By the end of this course, you will have a range of sailing skills and background knowledge. You should be able to maneuver your boat safely across and through the wind. Get more experience and have even more fun by trying an RYA Stage 3 course!
The RYA Youth Sailing Scheme

After Stage 4 in the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme you can progress onto the Advanced Modules of the Adults RYA National Sailing Scheme.
