Together all this equipment allows SITC to deliver high quality, dynamic sailing sessions pretty much anywhere theres enough water, in Scotland! We have lots of cool toys ducks, frogs, octopuses, brightly coloured balls and lots more to play games with and have fun on the water!

Before going afloat all participants must have a parent or guardian present to fill out a medical consent form. Participants are then provided with waterproofs, a buoyancyaid and a lightweight helmet so they can look the part on their local stretch of water. Wearing old clothes and shoes under our equipment is recommended because theres a chance you might get a little wet!

INSTRUCTORS

The SITC Instructors are as important as the equipment; it is their enthusiasm and knowledge that make the sessions as energetic and professional as they are. There are usually 3 Instructors working with each trailer, who all hold the minimum of an RYA Dinghy Instructors qualification, which includes an up-to-date First Aid certificate and an RYA Powerboat Level 2 qualification. However, there is always at least one RYA Senior Instructor working with each trailer. They have all completed a SITC Training Course to ensure they are familiar with the SITC Operational Procedures, Risk Assessments and Activity Delivery Guidelines. The SITC Instructors are handpicked for their experience and knowledge of working with children as well as their passion for sailing.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

A Generic Health and Safety document has been produced to cover all our work and specific Risk Assessments are created for each venue. The Instructors are all experienced in completing daily Risk Assessments for each event. We are aware that with the nature of our operations risks are always changing, at each individual venue. The equipment and Instructors are flexible and able to adapt too the many different locations we work from, provided theres enough water!
