Strathclyde Loch Sailing Club Junior Championship in partnership with

SailLaser Scotland

Sunday 6th November saw the Junior Championships take to the

water for a fantastic sunny, light winded race day at Strathclyde Loch.

15 Children from Lanarkshire competed in mini sail races out on the

water and prizes were competed for during the day.

SailLaser Scotland were pleased that all children enjoyed every aspect

of the day and hope that this starts a new drive to get young talent sailing

with Strathclyde Loch Sailing Club.

All children sailed in Laser Pico’s which are fantastic little dinghies

for learning the ropes of racing. Each child worked hard on and off the water

and everyone did extremely well.

James Law won gold with Andrew Scott getting Silver and Ruth Ferguson

achieving the Bronze medal.

The day all in all was a great success and every child got a sailing

medal to take home

Big thanks to RYA Scotland for donating a fantastic trophy for the race

winner.
