RYA Sailability Scotland
Sailability continues to encourage and support people with disabilities to take up the sport and facilitate sites to develop sailing opportunities.
Who are we?
RYA Sailability Scotland is an independent Scottish Charity working with sailing clubs, centres and sailing schools throughout Scotland to improve and develop opportunities for the integration and support of people with disabilities into the sport of sailing and its associated pursuits.
We work closely with the development sections of RYA Scotland, RYA Sailability and Scottish Disability Sport.
Management
We are managed by an Executive Committee which comprises three Trustees whose prime function is to determine the funding and strategic direction of the Charity, though they may also occupy an officer position, and three officers who are responsible for the day to day management. The Executive may appoint individuals to assist with specific responsibilities as necessary. Representatives of RYA Scotland and RYA Sailability sit as non-voting members of the Committee.

Principal Aims
Our aim is to make the sailing environment an encouraging and welcoming place for all. To do this we need to encourage sailing clubs and centres to work in partnership with ourselves to promote the art and skills of boating for all people who have any form of physical, sensory or learning disability.
We aim to assist in the setting up of new clubs or groups specifically for disabled sailors and to encourage sailing clubs to accept disabled people into membership.
In addition we will continue to organise a competitive racing programme at venues around Scotland.
