Linking to Schools

Information for clubs and centres wishing to work with schools.

Working with schools is a great way of introducing sailing to the masses and at an age where they have lots of opportunities to take their sailing further should they wish.

You may wish to work with schools to increase you client base or club membership.

The Working with Schools information sheet gives ideas of how to approach schools. It contains informaton about Sail to Learn and appendices giving details or delivering school assemblies and running playground activities.

A question is usually asked regarding charging for sessions and whether an AALA licence is required. Information regarding this can be found in the Charging For Sailing sheet.
