RYA Scotland is setting up Sailing Development Groups (SDGs) around Scotland as part of their new Business Strategy, and are now seeking to appoint the first of 5 volunteer SDG Co-ordinators, roles that will be based throughout Scotland. This particular role will be working initially with the Fife, Perth, Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire group (known as East Central Scotland Sailing – ECSS), then branching out to work with the new group in Lothian area.
Funding will be provided to cover out of pocket expenses, and you will receive any training that you may require to deliver the activities required. You will be provided with a uniform, and you will also become part of a new team to join RYA Scotland. If you would like to discuss this role, please do contact me by phone or email. We look forward to receiving your application soon!
Sailing Development Groups aim to strengthen the operation of clubs, through better instructor and volunteer training. They aim to improve the links between clubs and local bodies/ personnel such as local authorities, Active School co coordinators and uniformed organisations, raising the profile of sailing and making it easier for young people to have the chance to try sailing.
